First Visit Expectations
Going to the chiropractor is a new experience for many of us. Maybe you've heard about chiropractic through a friend or have done some research online. Or it's possible that you are just fed up with living in pain and have decided that it's time to do something about it. In either case, your first visit to the chiropractor will be about getting to know the chiropractor and discussing your history, current condition and goals.
When you walk into our office for the first time, you will be greeted with a smile and a positive attitude by one of our friendly front desk staff. As with any doctor's visit, you'll start by finishing some new patient paperwork. Upon meeting with the doctor, you'll discuss your concerns and expectations as well as have the chance to ask any questions you may have. He will perform a physical examination and most likely take a few x-rays to evaluate your current state. Once this is complete, he'll take a look at the overall results of the conversation and the exams. Together, you and Dr. Scott will come up with a plan of action which will begin when you are completely satisfied and ready to move forward.
Now that the plan has been established, Dr. Scott will begin treatment. He will walk you through each adjustment by explaining how you should position your body and explaining what he is doing step by step.
After your treatment, you will come back up to the front desk to schedule your future appointments and provide payment.
Then you are free to go! Easy as that. We schedule out an hour for new patient appointments to allow for plenty of time for the exam, x-rays and treatment but appointments range in time depending on what level of an exam the Doctor must perform.
After the first appointment, we schedule patients in ten minute time slots.
