You might be asking yourself: What Do Chiropractors Do Exactly?

Here is what you can expect from seeing a chiropractor

Chiropractic therapy focuses on the structure of the body, specifically the spine and chiropractors can manipulate alignment of the body to help relieve pain and improve function. The adjustments help the spine realign into the correct place, which then decreases pain and enables the spine to move properly. The goal of our chiropractor in Vancouver is to specialize in helping our patients not only relieve pain, but to educate them on how they can better manage their condition at home. By doing this, it can help them improve the way their body is functioning in a faster and more efficient way. According to the International Journal of Community Based Nursing and Midwifery, when it comes to chiropractic approaches to healing, the body is regarded as a neuromusculoskeletal system. When a disorder in one part of the system disturbs the function of the body, chiropractic care is used to address it and work on removing it. The stresses on the body’s nervous system can be alleviated and the general health of the body can be restored. Chiropractic Treatment is the Safer Treatment Option

For starters, the https://www.acatoday.org/Patients/Why-Choose-Chiropractic/Key-Facts, reports that more than 35 million American adults and children seek treament from chiropractors for joint pain, injuries, and many other ailments. We continually use treatments that emphasize prevention to help the body to heal. Chiropractic care is more effective way to treat chronic pain that addictive medications. Here are some reasons why you should avoid using drugs for your pain:

  • Side effects can be so drastic they can kill you
  • General doctor normaly prescribes several drugs designed to counteract each other.
  • You may experience some bad side effects from taking too much drugs.
  • Drugs do not help the underlying problem that caused the pain to begin with
  • Short term relief, you often have to take the drugs every day in order to feel the benefits
Chiropractic Care is more effective than Tradtional Medicine

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as many as one in four patients who take prescription opioids long term for non-cancer related pain in primary care settings struggles with addiction to those same prescriptions. The CDC also reports that an average of around 115 Americans die every day from an opioid overdose. Abuse of opioid is a well-known problem in America. There are new regulations being put into place that would attempt to lessen opioid abuse that threaten those with chronic pain. This would be that it would be harder for patients to even have access to these drugs and some patients are left scared that they will have to face a life of overwhelming pain. No one should have to deal with chronic pain and every individual should be given the chance to facilitate their pain management routine. And with the frequency of addiction to medications on the rise in the United States, many chiropractors and similar practices encourage their patients to avoid using these drugs for pain management. By choosing chiropractic care, we believe our patients with chronic care are making the right choice in their road to better health.

Chiropractic care is the best option for pain management

Long-Term Results and No Dependency on Drugs

Pain management is difficult to have to deal with, for any type of injury or condition. This is especially true when it comes to the musculoskeletal system. It is important to remember that the spine is the main factor when it comes to the foundation of our body. We rely on our spines to be able to stand upright, walk, and move, and so much more. The magic of chiropractic care comes from situations where there is a problem in the knees or hips and chiropractors are able to find some sort of alignment problem with the spine or that there is a certain vertebra out of place. There many reasons people choose chiropractor over other treatment options, these include:

  • Few treatments and real results, even if your pain is chronic.
  • You only need sessions until you feel better, though it's advised to do a few follow-ups to check your status.
  • Chiropractic care also helps patient learn how they can live healthy and avoid dealing with pain again.
  • The therapy is freeing, and you will feel like a new person once you've tried it.
